Really useful for visualising VBM results

The new version of the NeuroPub app has quickly turned into my main tool for visualising VBM results. I'm not even using a visualizer on the computer to view the results anymore. It's much more convenient to use the iPad. I just store the results on the Dropbox, open the Dropbox app on the iPad and then import the images to NeuroPub. Once I have all the results in my image list, it's so easy to jump between images.

There's obviously more things that could be done to simplify this procedure, like built in Dropbox support in NeuroPub. But this is really a good start.

  1. Hi

I just started to work on fMRI images and happened to discover your app which I think is pretty nice! By the way what is the implication of the restriction of "diagonal transformation" of -2 2 2? So far I have not tried to load my own data yet because the data I have has voxel size of 2.5mm^3.

ps. Any chance you will port it to Android eventually?

    Cheers.

  2. Hi Louis,
The most common standard brain used in fMRI studies is the MNI152 template in 2x2x2 mm^3 voxel size. Both SPM and FSL are using this template. The NeuroPub app assumes you have transformed your statistical results to the MNI152 template.

This means you cannot really use the NeuroPub app to visualise the raw fMRI data in subject space. It is meant for visualisation of the statistical results in MNI space.

Android is interesting indeed and I have bought an LG Optimus 3D phone for this purpose. I don't want to make any promises, but there is a chance that I will make a port. I'd love to see NeuroPub running on my 3D phone! :-)
